Horatio 17 May Hunter Heterosexual Male Forest |  Family Aiyanna Meverel (Spouse, 36) Cain Meveral (Son, 18) Ida Meverel (Daughter, 17) Reuben Meverel (Son, 15) Elijah Meverel (Son, 9) Diana Meverel (Daughter, 3) My family have resided in the village of Elvedon for almost a century. My great great grandfather moved his family to the village during the famine, in the hopes the forests would feed his growing family. My Grandfather helped restore aspects of the church, when a great storm, destroyed much of the village. He was a mason, a skill which was lost with my father. He like many of the Meverels was a hunter. He could shoot an arrow with incredible accuracy. My mother passed when I was only four years of age and my father never remarried. He devoted himself to me, walking me the two miles into school and back everyday. On the weekends, he would take me into the forests hunting. There I learnt to use a bow and arrow, sword and dagger. It was our livelihood. We often caught rabbits and hares, when we shot down deer we would take them up to the manor house and sell them to the kitchen for the family there. Baron De Perronet was never low on fresh meat when we were hunting. When winter hit, times were much harder, my father would hang up his bow and go into the village. With some other men, he would help patch up roofs and do odd jobs to help households in return for a little money or food. I was eighteen when Aiyanna took my eye. she was just sixteen years old and it was a warm summer Sunday morning. My father and I were attending church and she had sat a few rows in front of me. The moment her eyes met mine, I was smitten. After that every Sunday, I'd find an excuse to linger behind after church in the village and catch her on her afternoon stroll down to the docks. She was bright, gentle and made everything around her seem special. That year my father died and I found I wasn't able to meet Aiyanna for our Sunday strolls. I had to do twice the amount of work, in order to make a living. I missed her greatly and as the winter rolled in, so did a new set of troubles. I heard through a friend that Aiyanna had a new beau. He worked in the village and earned much more of a living than I, who lived on the moors. The news made me restless and after some careful thought I decided to pay a visit to Aiyanna. I couldn't promise her a easy life, nor one with many beautiful possessions, but I could promise her a life filled with love and I hoped that would be enough. We were married not long after that, she moved to my small home on the moors. It wasnt long after that we had our first child. A boy whom she named Cain, Ida followed not long after that. As our family grew so did our need for a larger home. With the help of some friends, we built a new cottage on the edge of the forest. Closer to the village, but near the source of my work. Reuben, Elijah and Diana were born, all within the walls of our new home. ---- Horatio reaches 6ft 1 and has a strong build form the manual labour he does. He has brown hair that reaches his shoulders and is often unkempt from the winds. He is usually unshaven and his wife is usually the cause for him to pick up a razor. He can usually be seen in pain shirts and trousers, with his long coat and leather boots. Horatio is quiet and hard working, he hasn't much patience for small talk and only has a small group of friends. He is often plagued by worries for his family and their welfare. The winters are harder and he fears not being able to provide for them. |
